Following the success of her husband 5 as member for Eden when that was a very large electorate, her son commenced a brilliant political career as member for Raglan, which later led to - his appointment as a Minister of the Crown. Some 15 years ago the late Mrs Bollard celebrated her golden weeding j and since then had enjoyed excellent health Throughout the length and breadth of the district and as far as Henderson and Swanson, the late Mrs. Bollard's name was revered. She was of > kindly disposition and no one in want appealed to her in vain. The eight surviving sons and daughters are Messrs. W. A. Bollard (Dunedin), B. 1., A. E„ and H. Bollard (Auckland), and Mesdames J. w Bailey. Chas. Waters, J. Milne and Miss M. Bollard, all of Auckland. There are 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
