QUEENSLAND STORM FEARFUL HAVOC WROUGHT By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. BRISBANE, Wednesday. A terrific hailstorm in the Rockhampton district caused incalculable damage. In some places pieces of ice measuring Gin by Sin perforated roofs and ruined pineapple farms. The storm was accompanied by a roaring noise which was heard for miles. The hail fell with such terrific force that poultry and pigs were killed outright, while other steel: in the line of the storm ■nt mad. an ’ charged through fences and other cos emotions, and added to the heavy death-roil amopti stock.—A. and N.Z.
