The Moscow correspondent of the “Berliner Tageblatt” interviewed him. Trotsky was indifferent as to his personal fate, and would not discuss it. Thp correspondent remarked, "Lloyd George once prophesied that you would have a Napoleonic career.
Trotsky replied, “There wa3 a curious idea that I was in favour of ending the revolution. It is not the first time that Lloyd George has erred.” He emphasised that the world often wrongly interpreted or misinterpreted the ideas of the
Mr. Lloyd George Trotsky world revolution, now for the first time progressing since it started on the downward path in 1923.
An improvement in the European economic situation was approaching; but there was stagnation everywhere, w'ith obstacles and lack of elbowroom, by which the lower classes were especially bit.
Trotsky expects that the impending European elections will result in a general movement toward social democracy, from which Communism T UI be the Anal gainer.
