TAKAPUNA BOATING CLUB

ENTERTAINS CORNWELL CUP CONTESTANTS The Takapuna Boating Club held a jolly “Cornwell Cup” cabaret dance at the Bayswater Clubhouse last evening in honour of the visiting yachtsmen. Birtley’s First Orchestra was heard in all the latest dance numbers, and was consistently recalled by the large crowd of dancers. Orange shades threw a soft glow over the cool green of the painted canvas landscapes round the Walls. It was a very happy thought that prompted the arrangement of the supper tables on the balcony overlooking the harbour. Streamers and balloons were among the novelties provided. Altogether, a very cheery and successful evening was spent.
