Gordon (St. John’s) Chambers (Sumner) and Foster .Caledonia) defeated Feilding (HataiWalker (Ponaonby) and Bremner , yfQgt Knd) drew a great crowd on he St. Alban’s green, and a fine game wM witnessed. Walker opened early t,y securing a four on the fifth head, followed by a three on tho seventh, uhere the score was 10—4. On the seventh West End were not playing well together and Bremner was saving peatedly with splendid drawing. The hoard showed 17 —10 to Walker on the 15th. A long head was thrown for ii® next end and Walker lay six, Bremner missing by inches to save. The position was safe for Walker. Bremner’s chance was practically hopeless and with Walker scoring two on the 18th. the game finished 28—10. At Linwood post-sectional games in the pairs were continued. Bainbridge Mount Eden) lost to a Smellie (St. (lair) after a close game, the score heins 23—14 on the 20th. Deare •Carlton) lost to Logan (Maitai), 26 11 on ths 20th. At Sydenham this morning the Carlton champion, Clarke, defeated Lomas • Ke’burn) 23—21, and Reid, of Lyall Bay lost to Ferguson (Balmacewan, Dunedin). 19—20.
