The train then struck the van. Witn*-«s was of the opinion that deceased had a clear view of the line.
Another witness said that deceased applied his brakes, and the vin stopped on the lino, an* was struck by the train. Had the brakes not been applied, the collision would not have ensued.
A verdict was returned that deceased was accidentally killed through his van colliding with a train at a crossing. The danger of railway crossings was commented on bv the coroner.
