A WIFE’S MAINTENANCE Press Association. DUNEDIN, To-day. Nine hundred pounds arrears were indicated in a maintenance case heard at the Police Court to-day, where James Edwin King, who was arrested at Christchurch on a warrant issued seven years ago, was charged with disobedience of an order to maintain his wife. Accused had been living under an assumed name, and admitted that he had an obligation to another woman and three children, but would do what he could if given a chance. He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, the war rant to be suspended if he paid £4 6s 8d monthly.
