DELAY IN T.B. SHELTERS
“NOT HOSPITAL BOARD’S FAULT” “The delay in the putting up of the tuberculosis shelters in the Domain is not the fault of the Hospital Board,” declared the chairman, Mr. William Wallace, at yesterday’s meeting. Mr. Wallace said that he had seen the Mayor after his holiday trip and he had promised to get something done. The position seemed to be that the City Council had offered £2OO or £250 for the building, for which the Patriotic Association wanted £SOO and an agreement had not been reached between those bodies.
