WOMAN PRESIDENT OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE

FIRST IN NEW ZEALAND Miss Magill, who with Miss Amy Kane, of Wellington, has been visiting Auckland, is the first woman to hold the position of president of the New Zealand Educational Institute, in which capacity she acts for the Wellington branch of that organisation. Miss Magill is also doing the groundwork toward forming a women teachers’ club, which promises to be a great success. Yesterday she was entertained, with Miss Kane, at morning tea and luncheon at the Lyceum Club by Or. Hilda Northcroft, Miss Alice Basten. and Mrs. B. Cadoux.
