EAST TAMAKI AMATEURS

ANNUAL SPORTS At the committee meeting of the East Tamaki Amateur Sports Club, held on Monday night, Mr. E. Blair, presiding, it was decided to hold the annual meeting on Saturday, March 10. A meeting of the sports committee will be held on Friday evening to draw up the programme of events. The following officers were elected for the meeting:—Starter, Mr. J. Whitten; judges, Messrs. A. Baird. Jas. Ross; handicappers, Messrs. J. Baker and \V. Potter; committee in charge of horse events, Messrs. V. Smith, C. Allen, M. Johnstone. Donations were received from Mr. C. Allen for the hunting events, Mr. W. Potter for the 100 yards local championship, and Mr. A. Baird for the eight mile cycling event. Good progress has been made with the improvements to the ground, and by the time the meeting takes place all the appointments will be up-to-date. Everything points to a verysuccessful meeting.
