of 1922, when for three starts he secured a second and a third, beijig unplaced on the other occasion. The following year the youngster quickly worked his way to the foreground, opening his winning account at the Addington National Carnival. Two failures followed and then the three-year-old commenced a royal trot, winning four times in succession, and being second to Happy Voyage in his next start. P’urther successes came his way in 1923-24. which season his earnings reached £2,334. The next year saw Logan Chief at the head of the poll in respect to winning horses, crediting his connections with £3,770. SPLENDID RECORD Last year the son of Logan Pointer failed to secure a win in his many starts, but place money to the extent of £290 stood to his credit at the end of the season. During his successful period. Logan Chief, who was undoubtedly a brilliant pacer, recorded some high class and speedy performances, his best efforts being: One mile, 2.4 2-5; 10 furlongs. 2.41 4-5; and U furlongs, 3.17, and 13 furlongs 3.34 1-5.
