WONDERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY

FEATURES OF “WINGS” The much-discussed topic of camera “angles” received new impetus through the work of William Wellman, who directed “Wings,” Paramount’s waraviation epic. Not only does the director give the spectator the sensation of flying and participating in aerial combat, but every type and form of manoeuvre is photographed from every conceivable position In the production which tells for the first time, the real story of the aviator in the wor. Two of the most unusual “shots” obtained were the ‘strafing’ of an observation balloon with tracer bullets, which brought it to the earth in flames, and the actual bombing of a village whereby the spectator is allowed to follow the death-bearing missies as they speed downwards.
