NATIONAL AND LYRIC

“WHAT EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW” “What Every Girl Should Know,” the Warner production with Patsy Ruth Miller, now at the National and Lyric Theatres, is one of those rare combinations of all the things that make life interesting. It is the heartstory of three orphans, the Sullivans. Mamie, the sister, it is, who lights allcomers for the sake of her- brothers. She knew what she wanted and she got it. With what feminine wit, wiles and wallops she did it is well portrayed in an excellent film. Dolores Costello has had no part which gives her such opportunity to express the emotional depths and heights of her genius as Dorothy Gordon in “A Million Bid,” ■which will also be shown for two more nights.
