NICKLIN PLAYS SKITTLES Saturday saw Harbour Board Colts gain their first win for some time, and at the expense of Glen Eden. At the close of the last Saturday’s play the Colts had seven wickets down for 174, in reply to Glen Eden’s 121. A good partnership between Stewart and Richardson with Nicklin’s 14, added 67 before Harbour Board’s innings closed. Nicklin found a good length in Glen Eden’s second strike, his slight leg break being very difficult to play, and in consequence Glen Eden managed to score 88 only, thus leaving the Colts winners by an innings and 32 runs. Stewart and Richardson, the not out men, continued tor bat brightly, the latter being particularly good. When Stewart went, Nicklin joined Richardson, and they gave Glen Eden all they wanted. The innings closed with the good lead of 113. Glen Edtn’s reply opened well, Kerr and Shepherd batting brightly. Kerr was suffering from leg trouble, and had a substitute running for him. When Shepherd left, Kerr received little support, Nicklin quickly disposing of the two McNeils, Anderson and J. Belsham for five runs. Spearpoint stopped the rot. but then Kerr slipped
