HOOTS AND CATCALLS

FRENCH RUGBY SELECTORS MATCH WITH WARATAHS By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. PARIS, Sunday. In view of the victory of Sou :h-west France over the Waratah Rugby team, the newspapers discuss a proposal to abolish all-France teams, and to substitute regional teams. Spectators of the match at Bordeaux hooted and catcalled the selectors of the national team, and cried: “The all-France team is before you.” It is emphasised that the selection of teams from the whole of France leads to a lack of combination, as the conception of the game differs in various parts of the country. It is suggested that France should be divided into three districts.—A. and N.Z.
