PLAY AT CHRISTCHURCH BOWLS CHAMPIONSHIP Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Once again brilliant weather favoured the New Zealand Bowling Association to-day for the continuation- of its' championship tournament. In the rinks competition, in which 4SO players are taking part, another three rounds were played, making six altogether, and three more will be disposed of to-morrow. St. John’s, Wanganui (.J. McMillan, H. Rowling, J. F. Wight, A. H. Benefield), iast year’s champion rink, who won all their games on the first day, met Kelburn, Temuka and St. Alban’s to-day. They defeated Kelburn and St. Alban’s, but lost to Temuka (T. Edwards). At the.. end of the day’s play the only rinks without any losses were: Edgeware (H. J. West), Blenheim (Dr. R. Noble Adams), Canterbury (W. F. Raphael), Timaru (J. Moyes), Edgeware (W. Efford), Christchurch (J. Rennie), Balmacewan, Dunedin (T. Ferguson), Masterton (J. Kerr), West End, Auckland (W. Bremner), United (Dr. J. D-Marks). One of the rinks with only one loss is Auckland (M. Walker); who went down to Timaru (J. Moyes), 24—17. Hataitai (H. A. Shepherd) scored an eight on the seventh head against Redcliffe (W. Harrison).
