Press Association. FEILDING, Friday. At the Feilding sale there was a very fair entry of sneep and a small entry of cattle. Many larmers from Feilding and outside districts attended, all anxious to see how the market for store lambs would open. The entry of sheep condominating. Fat shep sold on a par with last sale Fat sheep sold o na par with last sale and bidding was slow tor all store sheep. Most of the two-tooth ewes, which were of only medium class, .were passed in. Woolly black face rape lambs sold better than shorn lambs, but prices for both sorts were below expectations. Well-bred Romney wether lambs sold at 18s; good mixed sex Romney lambs, just shorn, 16s lOd; shorn black face lambs, 17s 9d. Fat lambs made 23s 6d to 25s'6d; fat mixed sex two-tooths, 24s ltd to 26s 3d; fat ewes, 16s to 19s; Cat wethers, 26s to 275; woolly black face rape lambs, 21s Id to 21s 6d; small, 14s JO; shorn, 15s 4d to 17s 9d. Light fat bullocks, £9 2s 6d; light fat heifers, £7; good fat Shorthorn heifers, £8 os; fat cows, £4 15s to £7 4s. WAIKATO STOCK VALUES Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their Waingaro stock sale on January 12 as under:— There was a large yarding of wethers and lambs, aud we also offered the whole of the stock off Manawanui Estate. Our yarding consisted of 3,500 sheep and iambs, and 232 cattle. There was a large attendance of buyers from all parts of the Waikato, and all was sold at satisfactory rates. Owing to the continued dry weather, the bidding for lambs was a bit sticky at the opening, but as the sale went on, the demand became stronger. 3 tore and forward wethers elicited good competition, and the Manawanui ewes fetched good prices. Two hundred and fiftyseven medium-sized, mixed sex lambs (biddy-biddy), 10s 6d; 180 shorn wether lambs, 11s; ' 136 shorn wether lambs, 11s bd; 128 small m.s. shorn lambs, 9s lid; 292 shorn wether lambs, 13s 9d; 100 small m.s. lambs, ys 9d; 230 shorn lambs, 12s; 18 cuii lambs, 7s 6d; 35 cull lambs, 8s bd; 98 4 and otooth fat and forward wethers, 265; 105 fat and forward wethers, 24s yd; 200 4tooth wethers, 225; 70 4-tooth wethers, 23s Id; 70 ditto, 22s bd; 44 cull wethers, wethers, 17s 9d; 2u 2-tooth wethers, 19s 9d. On Account of Manawatu Estate—. 442 2-tooth ewes made 25s 7d; 185 small 2-tooth ewes, 225; 449 4-tooth ewes, 28s; 132 small 4-tooth ewes, 22s 6d; 50 cull 2tooths, 15s 3d; 60 cows and 56 calves, £6 10s; 14 P.A. cows, £4 10s; 10 ditto, £5; 15 yearling heifers, £2 16s; 8 ditto steers, £2 17s 6d; P.A. bulls, £lO 10s, £9 9s and £4 10s. On Account of Otlier Clients.—Light fat steers made £9 10s; P.A. bullocks, £6 13s to £7 3s; 42 3-year steers, £6; potter bulls, £3, £2 10s. Draught horses ex Manawanui made £23, £lB 10s and £ls 10s; hacks, £8 10s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Hamilton, report:— At the Te Awamutu sale on Thursday last, we had a good yarding of beef, with few store cattle, and a full entry of sheep and pigs. Beef sold under steady competition at fully late rates. Sheep met with a keen demand, and store lambs sold exceptionally well. Pigs were dull of sale, and prices were low. We quote:— Light fat steers, £6 10s to £7 7s 6d; prime heavy fat cows and heifers, £7 10s to £8 12s 6d; ditto medium weights, £6 to £6 14s; plain fat cows, £4 12s 6a to £5 10s; boner cows, £3 to £3 lbs; Jersey heifer calves, £3 ISs; dairy cows, £7 10s to £9 10s; grown bulls, £4 10s to £6; others, £2 to £3 10s; fat ewes, 18s 3d; 2-tooth ewes, £1 6s 6d; cull ewes, 11s to 13s; rape lambs, 15s 8d to 17s Id; store lambs, 12s lOd to 14s 3d; small lambs, 9s 7d to 11s 4d; good store porkers, £1 3s to £1 7s: smaller ditto, 17s 6d to £1 Is; slips, 12s to 15s; weaners, 5s to 9s bd.
