PETER DEAN GOES SOUTH
LEASED BY J. R. CORRIGAN UNDER JIM BULLOCK’S CARE The well-known trotter Peter Dean, who has raced successfully for the popular owner, Mrs. J. E. Sweetapple, has taken his departure from Auckland, having been leased by the Hawera sportsman, Mr. J. R. Corrigan. Peter Dean, who is by Petereta from that remarkably'well-bred mare,
Ivy Dean, was a general favourite with the public for several seasons past and his game, bold style of trotting won him many friends and many races. So far this season, the little squaregaiter has not struck form, but under the special care of Jimmy Bullock, who has a fine record with trotters, Peter Dean may come right, and return later to Epsom and clean up the opposition.
