TWO representatives of the Rumpler Aircraft Works have gone to America with a view to forming a company to carry out transatlantic airplane services by means of Rumpler Giant all-metal flying boats, which have a wing-spread of 282 feet, and are equipped with ten 800-horse-power motors, capable of a speed of 160 miles an hour. It is predicted that they will regularly cross every 24 hours, carrying 130 passengers, and a crew of 35. The estimated fare is £75, and the route is via Azores and Newfoundland. —A. and N.Z.
