OFFICIALS ABANDON HOPE (Speeial to THE SUN.J WELLINGTON, To-day. THE Minister of Defence states that the Government is continuing the search for the lost airplane to-day. The Ministers of Finance, Defence and Marine, and Sir Maui Pomare were in consultation this afternoon concerning the flight, and later they met Mr. A. McNicol, trustee, and Mr. J. McCrorie, one of the backers, and the airmen’s wives in Parliament Buildings. The flight officials apparently have abandoned hope.
