SECOND PLANE ORDERED TO LEAVE H.M.S. DUNEDIN TO SEARCH (Special to THE SUN.) WELLINGTON, To-day. Measures for the rescue of the two airmen, based on the supposition that they were forced down on the sea off the West Coast, were discussed by Cabinet Ministers, following conversations between the Director of Air
Services, Major T. M. Wilkes, and the Secretary of the Post Offlce, Mr. G. McNamara. ' The preliminary departmental discussions were chiefly devoted to analysing the reports that the monoplane had been seen at various points in the vicinity of Wellington at a late hour on Tuesday night, and early the following morning. The Minister of Defence subsequently ordered another airplane to leave Christchurch to come to Trentham and search the surrounding country. Instructions also were issued to H.M.S. Dunedin to put to sea.
