PRICES EASIER INFLUENCE OF DRY WEATHER (Special to THE SUN.) HAMILTON, To-day. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report;—At our first weekly stock sale of the new year, held in Frankton yards yesterday, there was a full yarding of fat cattle, store and fat sheep and pigs. There was little change in beef prices to those reported previously. Fat sheep were easier. The store sheep pens, which comprised chiefly lambs, barelj r reached the values expected. However, all changed hands at satisfactory prices. No heavy pigs were penned: chiefly light, unfinished sorts were offered. The market was again easier on account of the dry weather and the milk supply easing, all vendors are anxious to quit. Beef. —Light, medium steers, £lO 5s to £11; heavy, fat cows, £7 5s to £7 10s; medium prime, £6 17s 6d to £7; lighter, prime, £6*to £6 12s 6d; light, prime, young cows and heifers, £5 15s to £6; plain, heavy cows, £5 to £5 10s; rough, £ 3 to £4; fresh-con-ditioned cows, £4 to £4 ss; good stores, £ 3 5s to £3 10s. Sheep.—Medium, fat wethers, 23s lOd to 245; good quality, prime, mixed two-tooths, 24s Id; prime quality ewes, 19s 6d to £1; plain, heavy ewes, 16s to 17s 6d; others, 14s to 15s 6d; medium, fat lambs, £1; forward-con-ditioned, well-grown two-tooth wethers, 21s to 22s 9d: good Romney two-tooth ewes sold at 28s; good quality shorn Romney rape lambs, 15s 6d to 15s 8d; good w.f. store lambs, 14s to 14s 4d; medium w.f. shorn lambs, 12s 6d to 13s 3d; small, 9s Id to 9s 6d. Pig-s.—Baconers, £2 8s to £2 12s; heaw porkers, £2 4s to £2 7s; light porkers, 35s to £2; slips, 21s to 255; best weaners, 14s to 16s; others, 8s to 11s.
