ROOFING THE WHARF
DEVONPORT IMPROVEMENT The Harbour Board has made a start with the covering-in of the passenger wharf at Devonport. Yesterday the first of the steel roof principals and supports made in the board’s workshops were taken to the North Shore The wharf is to be roofed over and will be screened from the winds by glassed side-walls. The convenience to travellers to the ferry wharves will be much appreciated in the wet weather months.
