Miss Rita King, Matron of the Whangaroa Hospital, is spending a short holiday with her mother, Mrs. L. King, Stanley Bay^ Mrs. R. H. Burns, of Christchurch, is in Auckland and will leave to-morrow for a visit to Rotorua. ** % * Mrs. W. Pencarrow, of Dunedin, is at present visiting Auckland. Mrs. H. Spencer and the Misses Spencer, of Christchurch, are in Auckland and are the guests of Mrs. A. Carr, Remuera. * * ❖ Mrs. H. Johnstone, of Invercargill, is staying in Auckland as the guest of Mrs. Webster, Herne Bay. -* # * Miss L. Mahon, of Gisborne, is visiting Auckland and is the guest of Miss O’Connor, Epsom. Mrs. Duval, of Christchurch, is at present staying with relatives at Devonport. Mrs. R. Glanville is a visitor from Christchurch to Auckland and is the guest of her sister, Mrs. R. Wilson, Remuera Road. Mrs. F. G. Treweek, of Hawera, is on a visit to Auckland. * # * Mr. and Mrs. Cory-Wright left for the South by train last evening. * * • Miss K. Grant, of Auckland, is visiting ■/ Miss B. Cleland, of Hawera, is on a visit to Auckland. * • * Mrs. J. Hissell, of Kaponga, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Miss King, of Whangaroa, is at present on a short visit to Auckland. Dr. and Mrs. Adams have returned to Wanganui from a visit to Auckland, where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. Trevithick. * * * Mr. and Mrs. S. Kirby, of Auckland, are the guests of Mrs. Nicol, Wanganui. *• * * The Misses Bouillon are at present staying with Mrs. E. Bouillon in Hamilton. Mrs. Silk, of Wanganui, is visiting Auckland and is staying at her summer residence, Kawau Island. Lieutenant-Commander and Mrs. J. Murray have taken up their residence at Titipoo, William Street, Takapuha. Mrs. E. B. Gray, of Wellington, and Miss Osborne, of Gisborne, are among the guests staying at the Hotel Stone 4 hurst. * * • Dr. T. W. J. Johnson and Mrs. Johnson have returned from a holiday spent at Taupo. * * * Mr. and Mrs. Dement-Thomas aie spending a holiday at Whangaroa, North Auckland. * * » Mr. and Mrs. A. W. McAndrew and Miss McAndrew, of Titirangi, have left by motor for Rotorua and Tauranga. * * * The Misses Ooldwater are staying with their brother, Mr. Abraham Goldwater, in New Plymouth. Mrs. E. W. Griffiths and family have taken a house in New Plymouth for the holidays. * • * Miss D. Avery is on a visit to New Plymouth, where she is the guest of Mrs. W. Wade. * * # Mr. and Miss Evans, of Wellington, are staying at the Star Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. J. Whitehead, of Mokau, Mrs. B. Hart, of Hawera, Miss Ray, of Te Aroha, and Mrs. Dumbleton, of Rotorua, are at the Hotel Cargen. ♦ * * At the Grand Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. Morling, of Napier. * * * Guests at the Hotel include Mr. and Mrs. H. Fitzgerald, of Urenui. • * * Mrs. Soljak and Mrs. Dreaver are leaving by train to-night for Wellington to attend the annual conference of the women's branch of the Labour Party.
