EXPLOSIVES IN STOCK Shortly after midnight on Sunday a loud explosion awakened Mr. H. W. Collins, of Kauaeranga, who found that his store which is situated near his residence, was burning fiercely. Nothing could be done to save the contents of the burning building, which had been securely locked the previous evening, when everything appeared safe. The explosion was caused by explosives fo.r blasting logs. The stock was valued at £6OO, and the building at £l5O.
