MATCHES ON SATURDAY

Green Lane’s Hard Task

SUBURBAN Association cricket was resumed, after a break of three weeks, at the Domain on Saturday afternoon. As the two-day match system has been reverted to and no games were completed on Saturday, they will be continued next week. Harbour Board A have set Green Lane a hard task by knocking up 271 for the loss of five wickets in reply to the latter team’s total of 107. A feature of the match was a century to Breese, who was undefeated at the end of the day's play. Ponsonby compiled 171 for seven wickets against Bllerslie's total of 104. Mackie took five wickets for 8 runs. Harbour Board B made 176 for seven wickets against Glen Zden's 121.
