INFANT DROWNED

FALLS INTO WATER-RACE (From Our Own Correspondent) THAMES, To-day. The eighteenth-month-old son of Frank Thorn was drowned in a waterrace near the Kauaeranga River on Saturday afternoon under peculiar circumstances. The parents took the children for a walk and on returning home missed the deceased, and hurrying back found the child in the waterrace. At the inquest held to-day a verdict of accidentally drowned was returned.
