HUNDRED MILES IN 14 HOURS By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Sunday. The South African farmer, Arthur Newton, finished a 100-mile run from Bath to Hyde Park corner in 14 hours 22 minutes 10 seconds, an amateur record. He only began to run at the age of 40, and has run 43,000 miles.
