Round the Churches
Holy Communion is to be celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church, Wellesley Street, at 8 o’clock to-morrow morning. The preacher at 11 a.m. will be the Rev. Harold Heaslip, and the Rev. D. C. Bates, of Wellington, will speak in the evening. The Associated Churches of Christ meet to-morrow at Ponsonby Road, where Mr. H. P. Leng will preach; Dominion Road; Onehunga (Mr. Tf_ Greenwood), Richmond (Mr. T. X Bull), Avondale (Mr. Mitchell), Devonport and Mount Albert. The Rev. W. A. Sinclair will preach at both services at the Edendale Presbyterian Church, and at Somervell Presbyterian Church the Rev. A. C. Randerson, of Rotorua, will be the speaker. At the evening service of the Methodist Central Mission, the missioner will speak on “Auckland’s Gravest Problem for 1928.” and at France Street there will be the usual Gospel service.
Mrs. Harris Roberta will speak on “The Birthright ef the Soul” at the evening meeting of the Spiritual Scientists’ Church. There will be meetings on Wednesday and Saturday. A meeting for men will be held at the Y.M.C.A. on Sunday afternoon, at 4.15. “Faith” is the sub;ec* chosen by Nurse Clayton at the evening service of the Church of True Spiritual Light in the 1.0.0. F. hall, Pitt Street. Both morning and evening serv. at the Grange Road Baptist Church tomorrow will be taken by the Rev. A. 3. Wilson. At the First Church of Christie** Scientists, services will be held .is usual to-morrow, and a further meeting on Wednesday evening.
Mr. B. M. Wilson will take the services at the Royal Oak Baptist Church to-morrow-.
