DRUNKEN MOTORIST SENT TO PRISON
LICENCE CANCELLED FIVE YEARS’ SUSPENSION Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. George Nevell, who pleaded guilty to being drunk while in charge o£ a motor-car, was to-day sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment and had his lice nce cancelled. He was also prohibited from getting another for five years. The police said he had been fined last year for a similar offence. On a charge of breaking his prohibition order he was convicted and discharged.
