COSGRAVE VISITS AMERICA

By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Racd. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Friday. The President of the Irish Free State, Mr. W. T. Cosgrave, was given a banquet at Dublin before his departure for America.

He said it was not a party visit. It was an official visit undertaken by him as President of the Executive Council, representing all the citizens of the State. The primary object was on behalf of the Irish people to thank the United States for

the goodwill and help it had extended to Ireland.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
