"SPEEDY”
NEW HAROLD LLOYD FILM Harold Lloyd has completed work on the New York location on his new comedy vehicle, “Speedy,” which tells a story of a boy and girl love affair, intertwined with the business difficulties of an old-time horse-drawn streetcar. His tirst shots in New York were made in Coney Island. Other scenes show Coney Island, a baseball stadium, and actual streets in the metropolis. More than half the picture was filmed in Hollywood before the company went to New York. Lloyd never before has made any picture in this city. Lloyd’s entire technical staff, about 25 experts and specialists, went Last v ith him. Of the acting personnel of the picture, the only ones who made the trip were Lloyd himself and his leading woman, Ann Christy. Extras were found in New York for the minor roles. Approximately 50 days’ actual camera work in New York was necessary to complete the picture.
