Lions Are Guests at Wedding
By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 9.5 a.m.
PARIS, Thursday.
T lONS were among the guests at an extraordinary wedding of a lion-tamer and a circus girl at Montpelier. Mounted cowboys escorted the couple. The civil and religious ceremonies were carried out to the accompaniment of revolvers, and the benediction was given through the bars of the cage in which were the lions and lionesses.
The priest and the choir, believing in safety first, remained outside. The animals were lavishly fed at a subsequent banquet.—A. and N.Z.Sun.
