LAWN TENNIS
TARANAKI TOURNEY AUCKLANDERS DOING WELL NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. Splendid weather allowed the Taranaki lawn tennis championships to be advanced a long way to-day. Aucklanders are prominent in the men’s singles, in which Bartleet meets J. B. Parker and J. E. Stedman plays M. L. Lamps to decide two semifinals. Webster, an efficient local man. Mrs. Scott-Watson, Miss Tracy, Mrs. Melody, Miss Myers, Miss Calver and Miss Barltrop are still in the women’s singles.
