ATTACKS COUNTRYMAN A sensation was caused in this week by a young Chinese attach ing a fellow countryman with a and hoop. The assailant, Wong Lee, was stated to have entered shop of Low Ching. fruiterer laundryman, and attempting to thr& the hoop over Ching’s head, and s»him. The attempt failed. The police said the other were frightened of Lee. and sugge his confinement at Porirua. The cot* decided to send him to gaol for t&£ months, where he will be under oW 6 * vation.
