The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram dated December 30 from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, LondonerTallow.—No auction this week. Hemp.—The market; is very quiet during the holidays, and littfe or no business has been done. Quotations are nominal. EgSS-—The market is firm and the demand continues good. Prices are. English, 24s to 25s per long 100; Belgian and Dutch, 22s to 235;- Danish, 26a; French, 19s to 21s; Russian, 12s 6d to 13s 6d; Egyptian, 9s to 9s 6d.
