Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Wed. A serious warning against the sloppy food often administered by the fold mother was told in these words by Dr. Livingston, dental surgeon to the London University, at a conference of health purses: “I do not think there is anything better in which microbes grow than the milk biscuits that are -pulped and given to little Willie before bed. Sticky, starchy, sloppy food ferments
all night. Two months later Willie awakens with a toothache. Microbes get into his nerves and his blood. “The poison spreads, and Willie develops tuberculosis of the glands. He is rushed to hospital and pulled round by 50 or 60 people, including doctors, nurses, surgeons, and charwom*. l. Little Willie later is added tef t.v» wreckage that produces Bolshevism. My advice to mothers is, ‘Don’t cio it.’ ” —A. and N.Z.
