DRY CLEANING LAMPSHADES
Lamp and candle shades can be drycleaned, as can tea cosies, table centres, handkerchief sachets. and many other little things too delicate to wash in the ordinary way. Blinds of linen and holland can not only be cleaned, but given a high glaze which prevents dust from getting under the surface. Nearly everything of fur, fabric, or feather can be cleaned in a very satisfactory manner. Sunshades, scarves, ribbons, shoes, corsets, old lace, chintz and crepe de chine are a l'ew of the unusual things which
cleaners are perfectly capable of handling. Most of them could be cleaned at home, but home cleaning cannot be very satisfactory because of the lack of appliances which only business people can employ, such as the huge cylinders that are used for glazing blinds and covers and the big ironing machines for curtains.
