COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
A charming little party was given by Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Jones Penrose, of Lake Road, Devonport, last Thursday in honour of the twenty-first birthday of their daughter Thyra. The evening was spent in dancing, competitions, music and games. The supper tables were decorated with yellow calliopsies and asparagus fern. After supper various toasts were honoured, and Miss Penrose was presented with a huge chocolate key. Mrs. Penrose received her guests wearing a frock of floral crepe de chine. Those present were: Miss Thyra G. Penrose, powder blue crepe de chine. Miss E. Penrose was in a pink taffeta frock. Miss N. Penrose wore pale pink georgette. Mrs. P. Sutherland chose powder blue crepe de chine. Mrs. H. Penrose wore a lemon crepe de chine frock. Miss D. Wheeler wore turquoise blue georgette. Miss L. Chubb was in blue and silver lace. Miss K. Browne had a frock of cherry crepe de chine. Miss H. Schmidt wore pale blue georgette. Miss R. Browne was in green and silver brocade. U
