AUCKLAND’S PLUNKET SHIELD TEAM ROWNTREE NOT AVAILABLE The A.C.A. cricket selectors, Messrs. N. C. Snedden, E. C. Beale, and G. Cummings, have chosen the following players to represent Auckland against Canterbury in the match which begins at Eden Park on Friday: A. Anthony, E. H. Bowley, I. W. Cooper, C. C. Dacre, D. R. Garrard, Ho D. Gillespie, J. E. Mills, A. M. Matheson, A. S. Player, A. Scott, G. L. Weir. Reserves: W. Hendy, A. Williams, A. F. Weir. The team differs from that which played Otago to the extent that Gillespie. G. L. Weir and Scott replace A. F. Weir. Williams and Rowntree. The latter is not available for the match.
