Easdown, of Auckland, who have been on a trip abroad, returned to Auckland by the Niagara yesterday. The Bev. S. R. Wareing, of Hamilton, has been appointed priest-in-charge of the Anglican Church at Ohaupo. Dr. and Mrs. C. Reece, of Hamilton, returned by the Niagara yesterday from a trip abroad, and are staying at the Hotel Cargen.
The Rev. J. Rich, of Whangarei, has been appointed as curate of St. Peter’s Cathedral. Hamilton. He commenced his duties on Sunday. The Rev. A. A. Murray, of Auckland, returned by the Niagara yesterday from a visit to the United States. Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Eastdown, of Remuera, returned by the Niagara after a six. weeks* holiday in Honolulu. Messrs. H. L. Smith, A. W. Smallwood and N. Frazer were among the passengers who arrived from Sydney this morning by the Marama. Mr. W. S. Lambe, of Sydney, arrived by the Marama this morning and will spend some weeks fishing at Bussell and Taupo. Mr. Frank Thomson, permanent head of the Prime Minister’s Department returned to Wellington last evening by the Limited. His Honour Mr. Justice Davidson, of Sydney, arrived by the Marama this morning on a holiday trip to New Zealand. Dr. W. Young, of Wellington, who attended the British Medical Association’s Conference in Edinburgh, returned yesterday by the Niagara. Mr. Peter Amodeo. of Christchurch, arrived by the Limited this morning and will stay with his brother, Mr. F. E. Amodeo, at Belmont. Mr. Barry Blundell, of the Wellington “Post,” writes from Philadelphia to an Auckland friend, stating that he has had a splendid holiday and expects to be back in New Zealand on January 17. The Rev. H. R. A. Wilson, vicar of Ketley, Wellington, Shropshire, is a through passenger by the Niagara for Sydney. He was formerly vicar of Kogarah, New South Wales. Mr. W. Gray Young, a Wellington architect, returned by the Niagara yesterday after attending the Rotary Conference at Ostend and a conference of the Royal Institute of Architects in London. Mr. H. Museome, of Vancouver, a former Mayor of that city, arrived in Auckland by the Niagara yesterday on a holiday to New Zealand. He is accompanied by Mrs. Buscome. The Hon. Henry Marks, M.L.C., •Mayor of Suva, and Mrs. Marks, who arrived by the Niagara yesterday, are staying at the Hotel Cargen. They are to spend several weeks on holiday m t&e North Island. The Rev.
