AT LUNA PARK
FUN AND THRILLS Great crowds have been attracted to Luna Park during the holidays and country visitors have enjoyed the pleasures afforded by New Zealand’s Coney Island to the fullest extent. Not only have the visitors been thrilled by the devices at the amusement park, but also Aucklanders, who were making their first visit. Many people visited the park last season, but when they entered the gates this season they were surprised at the innovation! that had been made. In addition to the evergreen scenic railway, the cater-! pillar, the whip and the dodg’em, are the new goofy house, the scenic river caves and the new fun factory. On the park stage free attractions are provided and Miss Bettina Edwards and her Corps de Ballet are delighting audiences at the evening sessions. Fire eaters, human skeletons and one-ton models of femininity are to have prominent roles in “The Side Show” Paramount’s first comedy costarring W. C. Fields and Chester Conklin. All kinds of human oddities are to be found in this farce, which will present the comedians as rivals for the hand of a rich widow, each needing the money she is supposed to have.
