Public Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Mount Roskill i Road Board held on TUESDAY, the 29 th day of NOVEMBER. 1927. it was re- < solved by way of Special Order that the I Mount Roskill Road Board make Bv-laws | under the “Road Boards Act, 190$.’* "The j Health Act, 1920/’ “The Public Works 1 j Act, 1905,” and the amendments thereto j and all the every other powers there- j unto enabling it in that behalf to repeal ! 1 the By-laws at present in force, and in ! i lieu thereof to make the following by- j laws, the object and purport of which a’*e ] as follows: BUILDINGS. i (a) Definition of Building. Sites and ; Areas. ! (b) Plans and specifications to he proi vided by applicants. ’ (c) Prescribing the materials that may I be used and the construction generally, (d) Prescribing a scale of fees payable for a permit for the erection of build- | (e) Prescribing regulations for the erection of Stables. (f) Prescribing the conditions required |in the provision of chimneys and all other requirements. (g) Prescribing regulations for the ereci tion of Porticoes, awnings and verandahs, signs, etc., upon or over any pathway. TRAMWAYS. (m) Providing for the readoption of the Auckland City Council’s By-law in respect of Tramways. PIG KEEPING. (n) Regulating the manner in which swine shall be kept and housed within the district. GOOD RULE AND GOVERNMENT. (o) Prescribing General provisions for the good rule and Government of the district. (p) Prescribing for the conduct of Billiard Rooms, Shooting Galleries. (q) In relation to inspection of Dairies, Restaurants; securing the cleanliness and freedom from contamination of Meat , Products, the sale of food and its proi tection from contamination, regulating j the business of Hawkers and Pedlars and 1 all Street Stalls. IN RESPECT OF STREETS, j (i) Prescribing regulations re drainage j under footways, vehicle crossings over footways, erection of hoardings, scaffolds, I etc. I Prohibiting riding on footways, over- | hanging trees, and wandering ca ttle on , streets. Regulating the traffic of Motor Lorries, Cars, Bicycles and horse-drawn ■ Vehicles, and for the Lights on all vehicles. DRAINAGE AND PLUMBING. (j) Prescribing the conditions to be ■ observed in the construction of approved j drains, Septic Tanks, Sanitary Convenij ences, and Sanitary Appliances; and for the adoption of the Regulations under the “Health Act, 1920/* relating to Drainage I and Plumbing. WATER SUPPLY. (k) Dealing with water connections, applications for supply, nature of fittings, payment of accounts and all matters relating thereto. HEAVY TRAFFIC. (l> Prescribing for the Licensing of Vehicles engaged in heavy traffic: Width of vehicles; Tyres; Maximum Load; Speed; and power to inspect. The said resolution will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Mount Roskill Road Board to be held at the office of the Board, Mount Albert Road, Mount Roskill, on TUESDAY, the 10th day of January, 1925. A full copy of the By-laws is deposited at the office of the Mount Roskill Road Board, Mount Albert Road, and is open for the inspection of the public during : office hours until the said 10th day of January, 1928.
