The accident is rendered more unfortunate as Mr. Byers’s left hand, too, is practically useless, the result of war injuries. ANSWER TO CORRESPONDENT “Anxious,” Hamilton.—Your bird died from acute inflammation of the serous membrane, which lines the abdomen, caused by rupture of theoviduct and escape of egg matter into the abdomen. This is a frequent cause of death among poultry. Treatment is useless in such cases.
