My Second Boldest Move My first bold move was to open my furniture factory direct to the public - after selling for over seventeen years, only to "trade" retail shops. And now-I've taken a shop. But right here let me assure you that I HAVE NOT BECOME A RETAILER. A combination of circumstances decided me to take this step. Because my furniture values were so great (my prices are from 25 per cent, to 33 1/3 per cent, less than "shop" prices) my business grew to such an extent that the small space I had devoted to a “showroom" in my factory was needed for manufacturing purposes. This meant I had nowhere to display my furniture. Then, a shop at the top of Symonds Street (opposite Khyber Pass) was vacated. THE BACK OF THIS SHOP ADJOINS MY FACTORY. I had the opportunity of securing this shop at a low rental, so T grabbed it. NOW - I AM USING THIS SHOP AS A SHOWROOM FOR MY FURNITURE. Next time you’re in Symonds Street - just look in and see the wonderful values I make possible by selling High-class furniture at genuine factory prices direct-from -factory-to-public. Furniture Manufacturer Selling Straight From Factory To' Public. SHOWFvOOM IN SYMONDS ST. —STE.AIGHT OPP. KHYEEE PASS. (Late Porter’s Shop.) Factory—2 Dundonald St. (Bach of Showroom).
