A new sport has been introduced in the form of pole-riding on motor-cycles. A length of scaffold poling is attached to the cycle on a specially- constructed carriage. One passenger sits at the forward end of the pole to hold tjie machine down, while the pole-rider attempts to keep his balance at the other end of the pole. The photo shows a fair pole-rider in action.
