FIENDISH MURDER

It is reported from Odessa that the Italian Vice-Consul, Signor Kozzio, a bachelor, was fiendishly murdered, supposedly by bandits. Signor Kozzio was of the quietest disposition. He left home at dusk and was apparently waylaid in a lonely spot and bludgeoned. Every stitch of clothing was removed. The thieves pulled out his gold-filled teeth and gold dental plate. —A. and N.Z.
