AGRION’S GALLOP

GOOD EFFORT THIS MORNING DERBY FAVOURITE IS WELL The Derby colt. Agrion, was given a run over nine furlongs on the tan at Ellerslie this morning. Over the last five furlongs he was

accompanied by Golden Armour, who secured a four lengths’ break on the Limond colt, but could not foot it with him at the end, eventually finishing about six lengths in the rear. It was a good effort on the part of Agrion, and warrants the opinion that he is more forward now than he was when he won the New Zealand Derby at Riccarton last month.
