MAN KNOCKED SENSELESS BLOWS PROVE COSTLY Henry Reid, aged 27, knocked Joseph Barlow senseless yesterday. The blows cost Reid 16s each. He pleaded not guilty at the Police Court to-day to a charge of assaulting Barlow. A witness said that she saw Held hit Barlow once, and then, holding him by the collar, struck four more blows, knocking him senseless. “We just had a smack at each other,” said Reid. He was fined £4, in default 10 days* imprisonment.
