afternoon with the showing of “Good as Gold,” a Western thriller that is crammed full of suspense, thrills, stunts of daring and danger, and all in a story that is cf fascinating interest. Add to this a background
made up of the wonders of the Grand Canyon of the Colorado, Eind there is a picture that is perfect entertainment. Buck Jones, in the role of a son robbed of his inheritance, a fabulously rich gold mine, by claim jumpers, gives a fine performance that is made up of hard riding, daring swinging among the chasms of the Grand Canyon over vast depths, and touches of humour that caused the audience to thrill with suspense one moment and laugh the next. Frances Lee in the nole of the girl who inherits the stolen mine makes a beautiful heroine. The plot of the story is full of unexpected twists and holds the attention throughout. Micky Moore, a nine or ten-year-old youngster, doubles for Buck in the early sequences of the picture, and Carl Miller, Charles French, Adele Watson and Arthur Ludwig have important roles.
